About The Presenter
Dr. Anuradha Rao
Dr. Anuradha Rao is an academic-entrepreneur, who combines her communications and new media, political science, and cybersecurity knowledge and skills to fuel her passion of making cyberspace a safer and happier space for everyone. She founded CyberCognizanz to spread greater awareness about the perils and promises of digital technologies, and to empower netizens (internet citizens, i.e. anyone who uses the internet) to make responsible and safer online choices. She strongly believes that learning should be interactive and enjoyable, and that learners can and should implement and adopt takeaways from her workshops or webinars into their daily lives.
Dr. Rao has a Ph.D. in Communications and New Media from the National University of Singapore (NUS), and a M.A. in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), India. She has taught and undertaken research at premier higher education institutions in Singapore, including NUS, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Lasalle College of the Arts, and the Singapore Institute of Technology-University of Liverpool in Singapore. Originally from India, she has lived in 10 cities in 6 countries, and been based in Singapore since 2008.
